Your journey begins as you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), Katunayake, where our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Negombo, a coastal town just a short drive from the airport. Negombo is known for its stunning beaches, historic colonial influences, and vibrant fishing culture. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after your journey. After breakfast, depart for Dambulla, an important cultural landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic town is home to the Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, which dates back over 2,000 years. Explore its five caves filled with ancient Buddha statues and stunning wall paintings that depict Buddhist history.
Start the day with an exciting climb up Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient rock palace, built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century, offers stunning views from the top and is known for its Mirror Wall, ancient frescoes, and impressive water gardens. After exploring Sigiriya, head towards Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. On the way, stop at Matale, where you’ll visit a Spice Garden and learn about Sri Lanka’s world-renowned spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper.
After breakfast, begin your scenic journey into the Sri Lankan hill country, where misty mountains, lush tea plantations, and stunning waterfalls await. 🔹 Stop at Ramboda Falls, a breathtaking waterfall surrounded by tea-covered hills. 🔹 Visit a tea plantation and factory to learn how the world-famous Ceylon tea is made and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea. 🔹 Explore Gregory Lake and take a relaxing boat ride in Nuwara Eliya. From Nuwara Eliya, continue your journey to Ella, one of the most scenic destinations in Sri Lanka. For the most picturesque experience, take the scenic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella, which is considered one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world.
